Register - Help

This screen is used to register for an account. You must enter enough information for us to create an account for you.

Family Name Enter the name of your home school. This name is printed on top of the reports.
First Name Enter the name of the person who will be your "adminstrator". This person will have the ability to view and enter all the information about your family. You will be able to enter more administrators later if you like. Typically one or both parents will be entered as administrators.
Last Name
Login The ID you will use to log in to the system. We recommend you use your email address as your Login ID. It is guaranteed to be unique, so you don't have to go through a cycle of being told the ID you selected is already in use and trying again. It also gives us a way to contact you if we need to. While we have no desire to send you spam, if it worries you, make up some other name.
Password Make up a password. I'm sure you've heard all the warnings about using a password that is easy to guess, etc.
Turing question You are then asked a trivia question. There are automated programs -- "spambots" -- that search the Internet filling out forms in the hope that information entered will be posted on a forum or blog. They then submit advertising for dubious products. The idea of the trivia question is that it is relatively easy for a human being to answer, but very difficult for a computer. (Which is philosophically interesting itself.)
