Create a schedule for a class.

When you create a new class, you specify the number of units. A "unit" is any convenient measure of work for the class. If you are working your way through a textbook, each chapter may be a unit. If you are using a workbook, each lesson might be a unit. If the student is supposed to do four book reports for the year, each book report could be a unit. Etc.

At that time the program automatically creates a schedule for the class. It creates a list of units identified by unit number, a simple 1, 2, 3, etc. On this screen you can add a description to each unit. If the numbers are good enough, don't bother.

The program assigns a "planned date" or due date to each unit by spacing the units evenly throughout the school year. That is, the program counts the total number of working days in the calendar, taking into account which days of the week you say you work and any breaks specified. It then divides this number by the number of units, and sets planned dates that many working days apart. You can change these dates if you like.

To change the calendar or the number of units, update these values and click Fill. This will add or delete units as necessary and recalculate due dates. Note that if you have entered descriptions or actual dates, units are always added or deleted at the end.

To add or change descriptions or planned dates, enter new values in the lower section of the screen and click Update Schedule.

You cannot enter actual dates here. This is done on the Progress List screens.
